Build and Conquer air defence

How to stop missiles in Build and Conquer: C-RAM and its six-unit limit, RA3 interceptors, Iron Dome, Pantsir, and the layering that actually survives a.

Quick answer

Build a layer, not a tower: C-RAM (limit 6) for close defence, RA3 or Iron Dome for cruise and ballistic missiles, Pantsir as the all-rounder. Anti-air was buffed recently, so defence is the best value it has ever been.

The lesson every Build and Conquer player learns the hard way: your city is worth more than your army, and an undefended city is a donation. Air defence is the difference, and since anti-air was buffed across the board, it is genuinely the best military money in the game.

How to layer it

  1. Cover the things you cannot rebuild. Power plants, refineries and steel works first — losing them stops everything else.
  2. Spread, do not stack. A cluster of six interceptors in one spot dies to one good cluster missile. Rings around your city beat a single wall.
  3. Interceptors are consumables. They cost steel, fuel and money like offensive missiles, so air defence is a running cost. Budget for reloads before a war, not during one.
  4. Keep one C-RAM near the industrial district and one near your housing — raids usually aim at one of the two.

Attack, meet defence

Every missile except the hypersonic has a real chance to be intercepted, and the hypersonic only avoids it by flying very high. That changes tactics: cheap SRBMs fired into a defended city mostly feed the defender's kill count, while a single hypersonic aimed at a power plant usually lands. If you are attacking someone with layered defence, hit the interceptors first or come with more missiles than they can process in a 7.1-second launch window.

The cheap layer people forget

Bunkers and air raid sirens around your population are the cheapest defence in the game. They do not stop a missile, but they decide how much of your city is still standing afterward — and they cost a fraction of an interceptor.
