How to play Build and Conquer
The Build and Conquer core loop explained: what to do first on your plot, how the menus are laid out, the controls worth knowing and how a normal session.
Build a city that makes money, research tech, produce military, then deploy to the mainland to take strategic areas. Drag to place buildings, press E to teleport your character, right-click to move units.
Build and Conquer looks like a city builder for the first ten minutes and like a war game after that. Understanding the loop is what separates a country that survives its first week from one that gets farmed by every neighbour on the server.

The loop
- Build your city — roads, housing, shops, farms, industry, power and water.
- Grow population — population is both your income multiplier and your city level requirement.
- Make money — shops and upgraded industry pay for everything else.
- Research — new tech unlocks better buildings, drones and missile quests.
- Produce military — guns, vehicles, missiles and air defence from your military base.
- Deploy — send troops through tunnels to the mainland, take and hold strategic areas, and defend your own plot from the same treatment.
Controls worth knowing early
| Action | How |
|---|---|
| Place many buildings fast | Hold left-click and drag the building over your plot — it auto-places in the grid |
| Move your character instantly | Press E and aim where you want to stand |
| Move troops on the mainland | Right-click the destination |
| Upgrade a whole building line | Use the upgrade option on the building; a patch added an upgrade-all action |
What the menus cover
- Housing — apartments and houses, your population source.
- Commercial — shops and supermarkets, your income.
- Industry and resources — extraction, refineries, factories and steel works.
- Utilities — power plants and water networks.
- Military — base, research offices, production and air defence.
- Research — the tech tree that everything advanced sits behind.
How a normal session goes
You open with five minutes of building, checking that every income building still has power and water, and starting the next research so it ticks while you are away from the plot. Then it splits by mood: builders keep expanding the city toward the next level, fighters go to the mainland. Wars on the mainland are fought over strategic areas, and holding one boosts your whole country — players report a captured sector adding 20% income and 30% population.
Do not leave a fight half-finished. The game punishes combat logging with a 30% penalty for a week, which is a lot of lost income for one bad afternoon.
Playing with others
Each server holds up to 8 players, each running an independent country on the same map. You can trade, ally, race for sectors or fight. Alliances matter more than in most Roblox games because a coordinated pair can hold a sector that neither could hold alone — see the alliances guide.
