Build and Conquer missiles
Every missile in Build and Conquer and how to unlock it: SRBM at 5 hits, GLCM at 12, MRBM at 25, hypersonic at 100 and the cluster missile at 1,500.
Grind the missile quests on the mainland: SRBM needs 5 hits on enemy units or buildings, GLCM 12, MRBM 25 and the hypersonic 100. Each missile costs steel, fuel and money to fire, and there is a 7.1 second launch delay.
Missiles are the reason Build and Conquer exists. They vault over walls, ignore road networks, and hit the buildings that actually hurt — and every one of them is locked behind a quest you complete by hitting enemy targets on the mainland.

The unlock chain
| Missile | Quest requirement | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| SRBM | Hit enemy ground units or buildings 5 times | Cheapest missile; fine for learning the aiming system |
| GLCM (cruise) | Hit enemy ground units or buildings 12 times | Longer range, still interceptable |
| MRBM | Hit enemy ground units or buildings 25 times | The workhorse once you can hit reliably |
| Hypersonic BM | Score 100 hits on enemy units or buildings | Flies very high and is very hard to intercept |
| Cluster missile | Destroy 1,500 enemy buildings or units | The long-term grind; cluster damage was buffed +20 in a recent patch |
Community guides recommend grinding on ground units rather than buildings: buildings often sit behind anti-air and anti-missile cover, while a single exposed vehicle or two is an easy hit. If you have a friendly server, ask someone to place a cheap unit for you to hit repeatedly — the quest counts hits, not kills.
Firing missiles in practice
- Every missile costs steel, fuel and money. If your launches stop behaving, check the supply chain before you blame the game — steel comes from a steel works and moves by truck.
- There is a 7.1 second delay between launches. You cannot burst-fire your way through a defence; plan two-missile or three-missile attacks.
- Missiles can miss and can be intercepted. Only the hypersonic is reliably hard to stop, because it goes up high before coming down.
- Interceptor missiles cost the same resources. Air defence is not free — budget it like offence.
What to hit
In order of pain: power plants (stops the city), refineries and steel works (stops their missiles), commercial districts (stops their income), and anything holding a sector. Hitting housing hurts their population multiplier, which slows everything they do afterwards.
