Tunnels
Tunnels in Build and Conquer: how they connect your plot to the mainland, what deploying through them does to your PvP status, and how to use them without.
Quick answer
Tunnels are how troops reach the mainland. Build the tunnel, produce units at your military base, then deploy — and remember deployment turns your base PvP on, so have air defence up first.
Tunnels are the bridge between the two halves of Build and Conquer. On one side is your plot, where money grows; on the other is the mainland, where sectors are won. Tunnels are the only way your army crosses.

How they work
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| Build the tunnel | Research and construct it from your plot toward the mainland |
| Queue units | Produce vehicles, drones and infantry at the military base |
| Deploy | Click deploy; units travel through the tunnel to the mainland |
| Command | Right-click to move units once they are on the mainland |
The fine print everyone should read
- Deploying enables PvP on your base. The tunnel is not just transport; it is a declaration that your country is now in play.
- Your units move slowly on foot, in vehicles quickly, and not at all if you queue them wrong. Check your production before a push, not during one.
- Tunnels do not come back. Once your army is on the mainland, getting it home is a trip, not a teleport.
Using tunnels well
- Defend before you deploy — interceptors, C-RAM, a spread power grid.
- Deploy with a purpose: a sector to take, a quest to finish, a war to join.
- Do not deploy and log off. Combat logging carries a 30% penalty for a week, and a country with its army abroad and nobody home is a target.
- Keep a home force. Whatever is on the mainland, keep something watching the plot.
